Join Valor for a campout near Signal Peak, then complete a breathtaking hike up the highest peak in Yuma County!

We plan to gather to hear some of Green Beret Justin Schand’s story.

Who: Valor (Young men ages 10-22, their fathers, and service members).

What: Campout, hike up Signal Peak

When: 1300, 14 Jan 2024 to 1600, 15 Jan 2024. Meet at 1300 at Stoneridge Church Parking Lot to convoy up to Signal Peak. Return to same location on Monday.

Where: Signal Peak in KOFA Range

Why: Comradery, Character development

Gear List:

At least 1 gallon of water per person. Make sure you bring a camel back or water bottle for the hike up Signal Peak on Monday!

Food for dinner on Sunday, breakfast, and lunch on Monday will be provided. Bring any snacks you want outside these meals.

Sleeping bag and tent or hammock as you desire (it will be cool... 40 degrees or so).

Rugged outer wear (full body coverage including hat and gloves)

1 sweatshirt / 1 pair of long pants

Sun-block / hat

Flashlight

All purpose paper (TP)

Entrenching tool
